(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) – With a dedicated STEM area and daily program that offers many opportunities for children to use their minds and hands to play, explore, and learn KC Preschool has a strong focus on STEM education. Our daily program provides experiences that can stimulate young children’s curiosity and interest in their environment and in the mechanisms of nature, introducing children to new concepts through activities and games. Stem supports language development as children plan and carry out investigations to test a hypothesis and discuss their hypotheses and results with one another. This develops both core literacy and comprehension skills. Stem encourages collaborative learning as children are actively encouraged to share their ideas and observations. STEM education teaches students how to solve problems by using their critical thinking skills. By engaging in STEM learn experiences, students learn how to examine problems and then create a plan to solve them.
