Let me introduce you to our fabulous Educator Miss Skye.
Skye is a one of a kind. She has an incredible talent, passion and dedication to her role and been such significant part of our team. We couldn’t imagine our workplace without Skye’s kind and friendly presence.
We recently celebrated Skye’s 5th year of service at Kids Cottage, many of our families have contributed to the festivities in sending in their personal messages to Miss Skye. Here are just a few of our favourites:
Skye,
You were one of the first educators we really had much to do with and one of the main reasons we fell for Kids Cottage. Your calm but authoritative nature is wonderful for the children and you have a way with all of them. Your ability to “get” each kid and their needs or quirks is definitely a huge skill. Thanks for being so awesome. We love you and hope you hang around for years to come!

As a parent, one of the most difficult times of the day is the dreaded drop off, but thankfully Skye is always there with reassurance, distractions and lots of cuddles for our son. He often talks about “cuddles from Skye” in the car on the way to Kids Cottage in the morning – obviously a very important part of his day! Skye is a natural with kids and her love, support and guidance is obvious in everything she does. She always has time for a good chat too. Congratulations on your 5 year work anniversary Skye! Thank you for all that you give to our beautiful boy and all the children day after day.

Skye, what can I say..from the minute I went on maternity leave I was dreading the idea of going back to work and leaving our little one with “strangers”. Being from Ireland and having little support in Australia it was really daunting. I remember the first time I met you, we had our child’s name down in another center and I immediately knew that KC was the place for us. I remember pestering Maria non stop to ensure we got a place, you along with the other guys help create such a warm, welcoming, home from home environment. One day you might have your own little person running around and you will understand the weight of the decision of which daycare to send them to, and the trust you have to give the educators to help your little baby grow. It’s like nothing I can describe. So thank you for taking this career path, thank you to your parents for teaching you patience and thank you for all that you give our child and the loving environment you help create. We don’t have family here but with you guys it feels like we do. Keep up the great work xox
Skye is a lovely, compassionate and caring educator..Who clearly loves her job as it shows through the happiness of the kids.
